New BOOTS!

I have been wanting these boots ever since I saw them in the Macy's flyer. So I sold a ton of shoes and clothes on consignment so I could buy them.

Aren't they lovely!

Bring on fall!

Beach day with the boys

It was such a beautiful day.

Of course you have to end a beach day with clam chowder!
So yummy!

Vintage Button Monogram Wreath

When life gives you buttons......make a wreath!

Every single item I used was from the thrift store and repurposed into this wreath. And of course it cost me only a few dollars.
I thought it turned out fun, whimsical and very fall looking (the color scheme I was going for).

I am soooooo excited for fall crafting!!

Have a blessed weekend everyone!

Easy Smoky Eye Tutorial

I want to start off my saying I am no professional.

This is how I achieve a smokey eye in a few minutes.

I only use three colors, lightest, medium and dark.

Put primer on the entire lid up to eye brow.

Take your lightest color (Smashbox Vapor) and brush it just under your brow, on your brow bone and in the inner tear duct of your eye.

Next take your medium color ( Mac Woodwinked) brush it in the crease only of your eyelid blending downward.

Using your darkest color ( Mac Legendary Black), brush it in a "V" shape on the outer corners of your lid. Then blend, blend, blend with a nice quality brush (I like Bare Esscetuals).

With a slender eyeliner brush I line the outer bottom corners of my eye. Black eyeliner and black mascara finish the look.

Easy peasy!

Celebrating 10 Years Of Marriage With A Hot Air Ballon Adventure.

I have always wanted to ride in a balloon. We see them floating over our town often. My wonderful husband planned this amazing adventure for our ten year anniversary.
It was so incredible!

We watched the sunrise and other balloons floating over our California rolling hills as the workers readied our balloon.

They put the basket on its side till it was filled with air.
Kevin helped hold the edges open while it filled.

It was so massive. The inside looked like a circus tent. And was HOT! I mean duh, of course, it's a hot air balloon for gosh sake! But it actually singed the front hairs on my head!

I was a little nervous on the way up but the breathtaking views calmed me down.

Looking over our very own beautiful wine country.
Aren't we so lucky to live here?

After floating for an hour we had a champagne brunch with our pilot and he told us the history of ballooning.

It was an amazing experience and precious memory I will never forget.

You know what else was truly amazing and precious? Look on my left hand!
He picked it himself and it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I love him so much and I am looking forward to another ten years with this guy!
