I bought a cashmere Gap sweater from the Goodwill for a couple dollars but when I brought it home I realized it had a large hole in the shoulder. Cashmere should not be wasted even if I got it for $2. So, I decided to make leg warmers out of it.
My Dad often tells me the story of when he used to show off his little blond haired girl wearing her leg warmers. As he walked with her in the mall, hand in hand, so many people smiled and commented on her adorableness. That little girl was me and he still likes to show me off. I will never be to old to put on my leg warmers and walk hand in hand with my Daddy. Love you Dad!

$2 Gap cashmere sweater from Goodwill. |

The hole. : ( |

Cut just under the seam. Cashmere wont unravel. |
|
You can shrink them in the dryer if need be. I am lazy but you could sew a hem on them if you would like. |
|
Wear them seam side up. I like wearing them with boots. So warm and cozy! |

It felt like a shame to throw the rest of the beautiful cashmere away. So I cut off the waistband and used it as an infinity scarf. I added the flower pin made by me. Tutorial here: Tulle and Sateen Flower Tutorial |
that is sooo cute and inventive!
