Silky Avocado and Cinnamon Smoothie

Since following the Trim Healthy Mama plan I have been making smoothies every day and I love them!
The Boys love them too!

It may sound strange to add an avocado to a smoothie however it is a staple drink in the Vietnam street culture. Of course it is not the healthy version I have recreated below. But the avocado gives such a silky texture like none other and really a subtle flavor. It is DELSH!

This recipe is a definite S if you are following the THM plan like me. :)

If you read my blog you know I don't measure anything so I will give an estimate and you all can play with it till your taste buds are happy. This it one big serving.

1-2 hand fulls of ice.
2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
1/4-1/2 an avocado, pealed of course!
1-2 tablespoons half and half, however cream would be good too!
a splash vanilla.
a dusting of cinnamon.
and sweeten with stevia to taste, I used a teaspoon but I like sweet things.

Blend till creamy and smooth.

Wha La...... Yumminess!

What I Wore...the comfiest skinny jeans ever!

Top Target, shorts thrifted, sandals Target, fedora thrifted, earrings Maurices.
This is what I wore to the Boy's basketball games this weekend.

I patched the shorts myself here: DIY lace patched shorts.

Top Velvet thrifted, jeans Abercrombie (possibly the most comfy skinnies ever!), sandals Steve Madden 6pm.com, hoops Stella and Dot.
I have been on a mission to find the best skinny jeans. I have tried on many with no success.
I happened to stop in Abercrombie (a store I almost never shop at) and I found some skinnies on clearance so I tried them on and they were perfect! They are soft and stretchy. They fit like a glove! AND they were on clearance!

Mission completed!

What brand skinny jeans are y'all loving?

My first attempt at hair bow

My first attempt at a hair bow.

Took me 30 minutes! Doing hair doesn't come naturally to me.

I was inspired by this pin :Hair Bow Tutorial

But, I left the ends of my hair loose because I think it looked more bow like.

Hopefully I can speed up the process next time because it turned out adorable!

DIY lace patched shorts

I found these jean shorts at Goodwill and they showed way to much skin so I used lace to make patches. I am obsessed! They turned out so cute and it only took me 20 minutes!

I decided to hand sew them because I like the look of miss matched stitches. An embroidery thread would
be really cute too.

Excuse the mess on top of my head, we went swimming.
So simple and cute! The shorts I mean....not my hair..ha!

LOVE them!

Healthy Peanut Butter Cup "Milkshake"

I love anything peanut butter but when it comes to peanut butter cups I simply can't resist!

This recipe just popped in my head today and it was too yummy not to share.

It is dairy free and sugar free and trust me you won't miss it!

This recipe also fits into the guidelines of my food plan Trim Healthy Mama (THM) you can read more about it here: http://nicole-blissfullyblessed.blogspot.com/2012/12/trim-healthy-mamabook-review-and.html

I really don't measure anything but here is the general measurements adjust to your personal taste.

A handful of ice
2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 or 2 large scoops of vanilla protein powder (I used THM approved protein) depending on your brand of powder.
1 large tablespoon coco powder
1 large tablespoon peanut butter
2 tablespoons Truvia
a dash of vanilla extract

Blend till smooth and enjoy!

PS. If you follow the THM plan this would be considered an S however you could make it an E by using less peanut butter.

I have been wearing dresses most days and I love it! I feel so feminine and pretty not to mention it's the coolest option when the weather is this hot. Target has been kill'in it with their cute dresses, this is the second one I picked up this season!

Any recommendations for stores with cute dresses right now?
