DIY Chalkboard Towel Hooks

Found these wooden back hooks at the craft store on sale.
I thought it would be fun to paint them with chalkboard paint so the Boys could have their very own towel hooks.

A couple minutes of painting saves my sanity because I will never hear this again.
"He stole my towel MOM!"

Inspired by Pinterest~ DIY Glitter Flats

I have seen these on Pinterest and I have been scouring Goodwill for some appropriate flats.

The thrift gods were smiling on me the other day because I found these lovelies.

I knew they would be perfect!

Love me some glittered ANYTHING, but these flats turned out adorable!

What has Pinterest inspired you to do lately?

Have a wonderful Easter weekend all!

Blessings, Nicole

Life Lately

My favorite thing ever! I use it to cook, as it is a healthy oil. A super food, really (look it up!). I use it as a moisturizer on my dry skin. I slather it on my split ends, leave overnight and wash in the morning. Seriously do this! Silky soft hair. I use it to remove my eye make up too. Is there anything coconut oil doesn't do? Nope.
 I love this stuff!

Two products I am trying. Both purchased from Ulta.
Hopefully they can help my oily skin (drives me nuts!).

My complete review coming soon!

I found this lovely bird cage this week from GW.
Love it!

My sweet husband purchased me my own domain! I now own Blissfully Blessed dot com!!!
I was freaking out about Google Reader leaving and Kevin decided to surprise me with a new place for my blog!

Sweet guy!

I am working on it slowly. I hate being so computer illiterate. A "computer illiterate blogger," isn't that like a oxymoron? I have to learn as I go I guess.
But, Blissfully Blessed will be up an running soon, YAY!

Made myself a monster taco salad for dinner.
It was so yummy I had to take a picture.

That's whats been going on around here.

Blessings, Nicole

Lovely Thrifted Easter Mantle

Decorating for the seasons and holidays is one of my favorites!

I found ALL this Easter Decor at GW for probably under $8! Everything still had the original price tags attached. The one jumbo egg cost more than what spent on the entire lot!
Thanks again Goodwill, you are the best!

Just look how cute this little guy is!

We will be having brunch and an egg hunt with family on Saturday then the same all over again at church on Sunday.

Should be a busy, but fun weekend!

Happy Easter!

What I wore...pops of yellow.

Tee Gap thrifted, lacket AE super old, shorts Cynthia Rowly (new) Marshalls $14!  Sandals Marshalls (new) Franco Sarto, so comfortable! Scarf F21. Earrings school fundraiser. Headband Old Navy.

It's warming up here.
Wearing shorts feels so nice!
I never thought I would tire of my familiar boots and skinny jean ensemble, but I totally am!

Found these mustard sandals at Marshalls and I knew they would be a fun pop of color to my spring and summer wardrobe.

Every season I seem to gravitate toward a particular color.
This season it's definitely mustard.

Does anyone else have a favorite color this season?

Life Lately

I won a $50 credit to Shabby Apple in a blog giveaway recently. I bought these beauties with it.  Love!

My birthday card from Caleb. I love how it says, "not ugly." Kids say the funniest  things! I really loved that it also says, "is nice" and "treats people with respect." Too sweet!

Bella. My little blog buddy. She insists on sitting with me while I type.

The Boys are playing basketball for the first time this year.

And thats life lately.

Speed Thrifting~Spring Edition

The challenge.
 20 minutes.
 Two complete Spring oufits.

Here are the results.

This would have been cute belted, but I wasn't feeling the belts.

Ruffled dress $6.99, Forever 21 jacket $4.99, and some amazing Nine West heals $4.99.

Loved the suade heals.

American Eagle dress $6.99, Target brand sandals $1.

I kind of cheated on this one.
The sandals were bought at another time, but they were still thrifted!
The shoe deparment was rather sparce.
I guess that's what you get when you drop by an hour before closing.

Bonus item!

Ruffled Ella Moss top, $3.99.

For those of you who believe you dont have time to thrift, proved ya wrong!
No more excusses get out there and thrift.

My Birthday Recap

Here is a little recap of my birthday weekend!
First my hubby made me brunch then I got a mani pedi.
In the afternoon we saw Oz and finished the night at a local habachi grill.

When you are bored chopsticks are the cure!

Our chef had mad skills!

There was some seriously yummy grub going on.
I got the steak and lobster..... Oooooh so delish!

I totally didn't share...... hey, it was MY birthday after all!

I can always get a picture out of them when it's goofy!
I'll take what I can get.

Oh, and I requested absolutely no one would tell our waiter that it was my birthday.
Leave it to Caleb to spill the beans! Thanks son!
But I did get a good dessert out of the deal. The red face was worth it.

Can't forget to show off my mani pedi from my sweet husband!
Yeah, he's kind of great.

Fun Spring colors!

It was a wonderful way to spend my last birthday in my 20's (cringe)!

Blessings, Nicole
