Do you know what "blessed," or even giving someone a "blessing" really means?
Do you realize how much that word is thrown around with little meaning? "Ahhchoooo!" "Oh, bless you!" See what I mean?
Most relate the word "blessed" to mean riches, good health, a sense of well being and so on. But that isn't what the Bible says about being blessed.
"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you: the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
Numbers 6:24-26
No indication of money, health, well being or even sneezing. It is a closeness with our Lord and Savior, an intimate relationship that gives you the ultimate peace and grace through all of life's challenges and hardships.
His blessings may not be physical items you can see with the naked eye but rather the gift of Jesus Christ. How incredibly sacred!
What an amazing blessing to have the Lords face shine upon you!
